                          CAPRI

Capri is the only island located in Naples' gulf, that cannot be linked to the volcanic nature of the other places of this area. Capri has been known and populated since the paleotic era in a period of time during wich the volcanic activity of the flegrei's volcanos was at its top. Capri costitued a unic land with Sorrento's peninsula from wich   it was divided during the successive geological eras under  the activity of some phenomenons of the "orogenesi tettonica".The etymological problem is  quite controversial;Strabone called the island of Capri;Caprea or island of wild stones, then it was called  Capreae by Varrone due to its original  geographic profile and above all for its fauna which was constitued by wild goats;this last explanation is not considered correct in it is opposed the denomination of Capros, that means wild boar. It is certain the presence on the island of the Greek population even if, it is difficult to individualize the exact date.

Nowadays Capri constitues the "pearl"of The Naples' Gulf Islands,it is the destination of some famous figures, vips and toursts  from all over the world, Capri is considered the ideal seaside for holidays because it offers clear sea, natural beauties and an intense night life.

Bed and breakfast can be the best solution for an holiday in Capri. Choose your lodging on BB-Napoli!

                                  ISCHIA

Ischia's island, following the recent theories, has volcanic origins; here it was created the greek myth of Tifeo,as a personification of the volcanic nature. Tifeo was a rebel giant that was imprisoned by   Giove under the island of  Pithecusae (Pithekoussai ),so in Ischia, and in all the other territories of volcanic activity, the volcanic myth  has  influenced the history of  the settlements of these places.

Ischia is the biggest island of Naples' archipelago. The island lives above all of tourism, not only during the summer but even in the rest of the year, thanks to its natural beauties and comforts, in fact in Ischia there are some thermal centres and beauty farms, which attract tourists from all over the world.                        PROCIDA

Hotel Procida

The name Procida, is derived from the verb "prochyo" that means erupted. In fact it has volcanic origins and its coast represents its violent birth. The coast ( in tufo's stones ) is sheered above the sea,but in the hinterland it is  rich of fertile gardens. The architecture is in the typical mediterranean style,  a natural union, which can be found only in a few other places of the world.
